The
, which is installed in the vehicle, has a GPS chip which receives signals simultaneously from 4 or more satellites. These signals are received every few seconds and give precise data on the vehicle’s latitude, longitude, speed and the precise time when such data was recorded. This data is stored in the built in memory of the GPS chip system.
A proprietary software package called
is loaded on the base station server. This software deciphers the signals received and converts them into easily understandable maps, reports and alerts.
At the end of the trip, the trip data is downloaded from the
to the user’s PC and sent by internet to the base station server. The users, after logging on to the base station server can see their vehicle’s route traveled, moving time, stop time etc. In addition, the various alerts such as overspeed alerts, trespass alerts, inactivity alerts, punctuality alerts, SOS alert etc are displayed at the end of the trip for Management’s information & action.
